SPANISH-GERMAN MAGAZINE
A multilingual magazine on the mission to unite the Spanish-German community.
While language-learning resources are everywhere, I realized there is almost no media for people who already live between languages and cultures. As someone whose own life and closest friendships span Germany and Spain, I decided to create the magazine I always wished existed (read about my story here).
With amigazine, I want to bring together three communities:
people who grew up bilingual and multicultural
those temporarily living between Spanish- and German-speaking countries due to work, study, or exchange
and ambitious language learners looking to immerse themselves in the respective culture through authentic, relatable content.
Focusing on politics, pop culture, and passions, amigazine brings together news, personal stories, and art from across the Spanish-speaking world (Latin America, Spain, and Equatorial Guinea), as well as the DACH region. The magazine aims to "translate" cultural, political, and social developments from one linguistic world to the other and represent stories that exist at their intersection.
The magazine is structured like a house, a casa, where every editorial category becomes a different room. The magazine's symbol are stars, symbolizing the friendships that transcend languages, cultures, and borders and reminding us that, no matter the distance, we are still part of the same sky. The first issue is titled "I'm just a girl" and will be released in September 2026.
